good question

Since [livejournal.com profile] mertseger brought up a good question about the exchange submissions, I thought it would be good to post it here for everyone to see:

Question:Do you want us to have the html code already in the file, or leave it formatted but without html tags so the RTF editor can handle that?

Answer: Do whatever you would do for a regular post.
What I do is make a word document (with all the HTML code included), but if you would like to do another method that will translate well to being pasted in an lj box, go for it.

I think the biggest formatting problem we had last year was spacing. When we transferred some formats to the lj box, all of a sudden we'd have quadruple spacing between each line. It was a pain to deal with, so the fic was sent back to the author for re-formatting, and then all was good.

[livejournal.com profile] beren_writes has the mad computer skilz, yo, but the eaiser you can make it for me, the better, so your work can get to the masses without any delays.

I hope this helped!
(also, reminder to everyone: don't forget to include the header, found on the last post)
