Original request/Bunny: Hermione Granger's research showed that the only way for Snape to survive the war was to be turned. Little did she know that Severus' newly awakened vampiric tendencies would involve some blood, sweat, and tears. Notes: The poem recited in chapter 3 is Emily Dickinson’s Pain has an element of blank. Also, some notes on Orris root: After preparation, the scent is reminiscent of the smell of violets. This unique smell only wins over time in the drying-process. After the drying-process the root is ground, solved in water and then distilled. One ton of iris root produces two kilos of extremely expensive essential oil. The scent then is marvellous and incomparable, as powerful as it is subtle. It's been described as tenaciously flowery, heavy and woody.
I wanted something more original than sandalwood!
