Title:: What would you miss?
Pairing: n/a
Rating: PG 13
Summary:In vampire fics blood is always described in such glowing terms of foodie like rapture. But the most common comparison is chocolate.
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. Clear enough.
I only have a livejournal account to read people's stories and as such I don't know if I am posting this wrong.
Actually as I was posting this another drabble has formed so you get two drabbles for the price of one.
Blood tastes like iron. This is what is tastes like and I cannot really describe it any other way. As a child I had an unhealthy habit of sucking, biting, chewing on any inanimate and some times animate object that lay to hand. During this phase my mother says it was like living with a small blonde haired puppy. I don't think she ever resorted to hitting me over the nose with a rolled up prophet. So I do know what the liquid I now live off tastes like. The harsh cold metallic flavor of iron is exactly the flavor of human blood. For all the romantic language and descriptive texts I wish it did taste different. I really do miss my chocolate.
Biting down on the pale flesh that arched beneath his aching mouth. Harry grazed the skin bringing a deep moan from the parted lips of the body draped below him. Blood began to slowly rise to the surface of the pale neck. To Harry it smelt all his favorite foods rolled into one. Slowly he brought his tongue out and gently began to lap at the pooling blood while his willing victim enjoyed the cautious movement of his hunter. Pulling back to breathe in the heavenly scent once again, the body below him spoke languorously.
"So what do I taste like."
"Food."
